How You Can Help

If you would like to see the ugly barriers removed from Natural Bridge Cave - if you would like to see your access rights to Natural Bridge State Park and other public lands restored - join with us to make it happen.  Here's how:

1.  Join SaveOurCave by sending an email to SaveOurCave@yahoo.com and letting us know who you are and how you can help.  Your geographical location does not matter because most everything can be done via phone or email.  Please also tell us about your experiences in the cave and what you have observed about its condition.  If you want your comments posted on our "Comments Received" page, please indicate that.  (Note: Your name and email address will NOT be shared without your permission.  If clicking on the SaveOurCave email link does enable your computer to contact us, simply cut and paste or type our email address into the "To" box on your email's "Compose" page.)

2.  Tell people who love our beautiful parks and public lands about what is happening and urge them to join with SaveOurCave so that we can regain our lost access rights.  Put your email and phone list to good use and help us quickly get the word out!  If you would like to print out flyers which can be posted to spread the message, just click here. If you would like to circulate a petition to Governor Beshear, just click here.  Print out this petition and when some signatures have been collected, contact us at our email address (shown above) for further instructions.

3.  If you can, make plans to come to our meetings, rallies, and hikes.  We'll plot and plan and sometimes get some exercise and have some fun.  SaveOurCave can become your tour guide to some special Kentucky places.

4.  Join the Spending Boycott and pass the word about it.  If Natural Bridge State Park will not allow the public to have a voice in major management decisions, then we ought not support it with our hard-earned dollars.  By becoming part of this Boycott, you will send the message that you demand change.  By spending your money with the local merchants, you will be helping them survive some rough financial times, which some claim are partially caused by recent Park policies.

5.  Contact government officials and the media, and let them know your thoughts.  If this is not done, nothing will change!  When communicating with these entities, be polite and be brief.  Listed below you will find contact information for political leaders, government agencies, and the media.  Emails are good, but letters and phone calls will have more impact.  The more people you contact, the quicker our goals will be achieved.
